About Us
History
Our history is a journey of innovation, commitment to safety, and the desire to bring positive change to the industry. We are driven by a passion for delivering products that keep people safe, while simultaneously supporting American jobs and manufacturing.
We were founded in 2020 by a superintendent who had extensive experience in the construction field. As a seasoned professional, he had observed that the problem of exposed rebar on construction sites was a critical safety issue that needed urgent attention. He was frustrated and fed up by the prevalence of exposed rebar on construction sites where rebar caps kept falling off. He was determined to find a better solution. While working on a sink one night in 2019, he had a lightbulb moment and realized that he could create a device that uses tension to hold a rebar cap on securely.
For the next three years he and his partners worked tirelessly researching, developing and testing the product to ensure it met the highest standards of safety and functionality. Caplock was finally brought to market in 2022. After an initial successful launch, they wanted to take it to the next level. Utilizing field feedback from end users with the goal of ongoing improvement, the original design was adjusted to develop the second model that was CAL/OSHA certified (CAL/OSHA #C-1749-AG) in January 2025.
